PERSONALITY |
POSITIVE Bright Kennedy almost always seems to have a smile on his face, and his eyes are always bright. He just seems to be constantly happy. Everything about him is bright, from his hair color to his expressions, to his choice in clothing color outside of school. He tends to make the people around him feel at ease and happier with all of his easy smiles and laughs. Friendly Kennedy absolutely adores being around other people and becoming friends with them. The more friends he has, the more people who want to talk to him and be around him, the happier he is. Nothing makes him happier than being important to someone, learning something new, gaining someone’s trust. It’s like a drug to him almost. He simply can’t get enough of other people – as long as they’re giving him attention. Intelligent Kennedy has always been extremely intelligent. Despite the fact that he can barely sit still in class, he manages to make above average grades with ease. He’s tested beyond his grade-level several times in his life, but his mother has never allowed him to move forward a grade. He is good at puzzles and math especially. Confident Kennedy is extremely confident in himself in every aspect of life. He knows he can pass all his classes, he knows that’s he is cute, he knows that he can befriend just about anyone. He doesn’t beat up on himself or get down about his failures because he knows he’ll get it right eventually. He holds his head up high at all times and he never lets anything that anyone else says get to him. Their opinions hardly matter, he knows where his strengths lie and he’s not going to pretend that he doesn’t. Loyal Kennedy just naturally has a very loyal personality, he’s almost like a dog. He is loyal to the people he deigns to care about and he is also loyal to himself and his ideals. He is strong in all of his beliefs and he doesn’t let other people push him around about them. He is even loyal to his partner, as cold as he is toward them, because while he is certainly allowed to give them a hard time, no one else is. LIKES Cold Weather Kennedy absolutely adores cold weather. He likes the way a cold wind feels on his face, he thinks snow is gorgeous and fun to play with. He loves the clothing you get to wear along with it, all of the layers and padding and sweaters. He also enjoys taking his elder brother’s sweaters cause they’re big and comfy on him. Sleeping One of Kennedy’s favorite pastimes is sleeping. He’ll sleep just about anywhere. On the ground under a tree, curled up in a desk, sprawled across a random person. It doesn’t matter. When he feels sleepy he’ll just curl and up go sleep. Being Outside Kennedy loves being outdoors. He can’t stand the feeling of being cooped up, and the world is just so open and fresh outside. He doesn’t care what the weather is, he’ll go outside in the middle of a storm without a second thought. Flowers Kennedy basically adores every single kind of flower. He likes picking them, giving them to people, growing them, making flower crowns out of them, just whatever. He adores it. He tends to like white flowers the best, but really any flower is fine with him. They are his favorite present to receive from anyone, and it genuinely makes him happy when someone gives him one. Animals Kennedy loves animals, and he’s always wanted a dog or cat of his own though he isn’t allowed to have one. He likes every type of animal from an insect to an elephant, he is simply fascinated by them. He does tend to gravitate toward to amphibians and reptiles, especially snakes, and biology is easily his favorite subject due to this. | NEGATIVE Obsessive Kennedy has really horrific obsessive tendencies. Most of them tend to center around his elder brother, but they can and are expressed on other things as well. Once he gets something in his head he simply can’t stop thinking about it. It is possible for him to become obsessed with anyone he forms any sort of bond with. He doesn’t know how or when to stop, ever. Manipulative Kennedy doesn’t even realize how manipulative he is, to tell the truth. Most of the time he doesn’t actively try to manipulate people, it just sort of happens. When he learns something he can use against someone, he has to use it, he can’t even stop himself. He uses words and secrets to keep himself above other people because his small stature means he can’t readily fight anyone. He also likes to try and find people who will feel bad for him and fight his battles for him. Cold Despite the fact that Kennedy projects a warm personality, he is cold to the bone in reality. He rarely, if ever, feels guilt for using people or causing them pain. He has basically zero empathy and will not sympathize with anyone. He doesn’t care if you watched your entire family die, he’s not here to be your snot rag. There is only one person in the world he really cares about, and everyone else can go to hell. Shifts Blame Kennedy cannot take responsibility for any of his actions, ever. He could murder someone with his bare hands and then claim that they killed themselves or that he simply didn’t do it. He is in fierce denial about most aspects of his personality and refuses to see that he is, in fact, a raging asshole. He has never done anything wrong or mistreated anyone, you must be thinking of someone else. Unreliable Kennedy is bad to lie and just ignore people. If you want a friend who is always gonna answer your calls and be there for you, look somewhere else. Sometimes he goes for weeks without talking to people, and even if you’ve made plans with him there is no guarantee that he is actually going to show up – especially if something he deems to be more fun is presented to him. DISLIKES Tight Spaces Kennedy is extremely claustrophobic. He can’t stand being in small rooms with the door closed, and god forbid someone try to hold him down. He literally turns into a cornered animal and all rational thought ceases to function. He will bite, shriek, and claw his way out of the situation and be left emotionally and physically drained afterward. Not Getting Attention Kennedy never gets attention from his mother or stepfather at home, and while he has come to more or less accept that fact, he can’t stand losing the attention of other people. He’ll do anything it takes to get attention. He doesn’t care if it is negative or positive attention, not one little bit. As long as someone notices the fact that he’s alive. Most Females For whatever reason Kennedy simply doesn’t like being around most females. It’s not necessarily that he’s sexist, he doesn’t see himself or his gender as better than theirs, he just feels outside of them and wholly different from them. They make him uncomfortable, and while he’ll keep up his façade around them, he highly prefers the company of males. Being Bossed Around Kennedy does not take orders well from anyone, not even from Cal. He doesn’t want to be told what to do, and sometimes he’ll do the exact opposite out of spite. If you want Kennedy to do something specific, you need to phrase it in a roundabout way. He will never listen if you just try and tell him what to do. Sweet Food Kennedy basically hates sweets or candy of any kind and he absolutely refuses to eat them, ever. He doesn’t even like fruit or sweet drinks. |
HISTORY Kennedy Liam Donovan was born as the second son to a pair of Irish-American immigrants. His brother was already old enough to walk and talk by the time he was born, and his parents’ relationship was already on the rocks. Truth be told, the newest addition to the family was a bit of an accident, but it wasn’t like that was his fault or something. Either way, his mother, father, and brother always treated him warmly and with love and kindness, even if his mother and father could no longer get along. Kennedy was probably the reason they suffered through another three years of marriage before finally divorcing. He wasn’t really old enough to remember all the fighting, and he definitely wasn’t old enough to understand why his world was being torn apart. The divorce was settled amicably. His parents sold their old house and split the money. Kennedy’s mother got custody of him while Cal remained with his father. He didn’t understand why this had to happen. He didn’t want to leave his daddy, but more than that he didn’t want to leave his brother. He started acting out and throwing screaming fits and the only time he was calm was when Cal was visiting or he was visiting his dad. This made his mother slightly bitter. She didn’t understand that Kenny hadn’t chosen his father over her, but rather he’d chosen his brother over both of them. He acted no better for his dad when Cal wasn’t at home, after all. He was six when his mother started her online relationship and seven when she told him that they would be moving to a new state. She presented the information as if it was something fun and exciting, but when she told him that Cal couldn’t come along he promptly sprinted out of the house. Luckily enough his father’s house wasn’t too far away, or that day could have ended a lot worse. When he showed up and told his father what was going on, the news came as a surprise to the man. He called his ex-wife to let her know Kenny was okay, and Kenny spent the next couple of days with him and Cal. Being a child he was able to put the issue of moving out of his mind, but obviously it was going to happen anyway. A couple of months later he was dragged kicking and screaming into the car to start his “new life”. His parents had come to an agreement over visitation, with Kenny spending Christmas, New Years, and The Fourth with his father and Cal. He was also supposed to visit every three months or so as well, and Cal was supposed to come see them for Thanksgiving and Halloween. Unfortunately, all of these plans would fall apart before they even had the chance to happen. Cal would never visit them, and Kenny ended up spending maybe three Christmases with his father and brother. It was mostly his mother and stepfather’s fault, though surely his father could have done more to ensure that he got to see his son. Either way, both of them began complaining that plane tickets were too expensive, or they didn’t have time to go to the airport. Kennedy acted out with everything in him, but no matter how many fits he threw he didn’t get his way. His mother and stepfather barely paid him any attention, it was like he wasn’t even living in the house at all. The only attention he got came from phone calls with his brother. Even as a child Kennedy was good at twisting feelings and emotions, and he simply guilt tripped his father so much that the man barely looked forward to speaking with him anymore. When he was eight his mother got pregnant again and would eventually give birth to a pair of twins. A boy and girl with reddish brown hair just like he and Cal’s. They reminded him of Cal a bit, which is probably the only reason he ever paid them any attention. Either way, as the twins aged they were much closer to each other than they were to him. It was to be expected, but it still hurt. Not to mention they were getting all of these amazing toys at Christmas while he got some cheap toys and clothes mostly. Even when his father would send him gifts he was forced to share them with the twins, but they were never made to share with him. Entering high school was a godsend for him for several reasons. The biggest reason was that Cal was also attending the school, which meant that he actually got to see and spend some quality time with the brother whom he had developed some very unhealthy feelings toward. He got to get away from his younger siblings, and the distance caused the bitterness to fade a bit. With his high intelligence and grades he received several scholarships as well. Very recently, like in the last week before winter break, he was paired with his partner. He doesn’t really care about them too very much, and he doesn’t plan on listening to them even though they play the role of sacrifice. Basically, neither of them are going to have a very good time if he doesn’t grow up a bit. |
