PERSONALITY |
POSITIVE Intelligent Attica carries the family trait of having inherited the family genius. Her IQ is rather high and she could technically be in college if it wasn't for her illness, or parent's insistence that she be around people her own age. Though she does not outwardly flaunt her intelligence she is known for being in the top 10 of her class. Creative Be it bikes or books her imagination is a force to be reckoned with. She can transport herself vividly into places through reading and adequately transfer images from her mind onto surfaces via spray paint. This has also led to the development of some medical equipment and several new prototypes of different bikes. Curious They say curiosity killed the cat, but that satisfaction brought it back. Luckily, Attica seems to have nine lives and then some. Once she becomes truly curious about something, there's nothing in the world that can capture her attention. Though her focus never seems to be on people, but entirely on objects and scenarios. She's gotten in trouble for sticking her nose where it doesn't belong before. Feral Typically this would be a negative trait, but it's very important to Attica's personality. She's a feral child, snapping at people and growling and generally acting like she was raised by wolves. This leaves her with a well earned sense of security since it's something no one can take from her. She's fiercely proud of it, and it does make her seem a bit dangerous. Loyal Attica doesn't often like people, but when she does it's hard to get rid of her. She will in fact defend your honor to the death, and she tends to act like you are the center of the universe. Even if you're wrong, she'll warp the truth until she can believe that you were in the wrong. LIKES Books Attica has a very active imagination, and loves transporting herself to far away places. Books clutter her room in large stacks on the verge of toppling over, and she's constantly renewing books from the library. She allows no one to touch her books. No one. Warm sweet breads Warm breads in general are a quick way to her heart. Though she isn't one to eat cakes or candy, sweet breads provide just enough sugary sweetness balanced out with the actual bread of the treat. It makes sure she's not overwhelmed when eating, and fills her with a gooey warmth that makes it easier to sleep. Writing classes Even if she may not be a fighter unit, she worms her way into as many classes as possible. She enjoys expanding her vocabulary and writes short stories in her spare time, all typically taking on a fairy tale theme. Building She's a little engineering genius and amongst the clutter of books in her room there's machinery absolutely everywhere. She builds engines in her spare time since she doesn't really have the room to build full sized bikes, and even has blueprints for new designs laying about that she always means to send home to her family. Painting Though not in the traditional sense, her medium of choice is spraypaint. Needed to build her skills in order to become a proper bike artist, her paintings are always emotionally investing. She takes advantage of any available surface she can. | NEGATIVE Emotional Normally this wouldn't be a problem. However, with Attica the issue is that she shows too much of too little emotions. She's a negative nancy, and it shows with the constant combative stance and depressed expression. All she really seems to feel at any given time is anger, sadness, and despair. Unstable Attica has a mental illness. Attica was established to have a severe mood disorder at an early age. Due to this little kink in her life, the personality she could have developed naturally was severely warped by treatments, ineffective medications, and eventually her own toxic mind. This leaves her very confused and unable to form many meaningful relationships. Vindictive She doesn't take kindly to being wronged. She holds grudges for an exceptionally long time, and it can be difficult to live in the same area as her since she always finds a way to worm herself into your life. Typically she gets her revenge through harmless pranks, though one one occasion it ended with a fire in the student lounge and a call to 911. Sadly that student will never have pretty teeth again. Unforgiving There's a good chance that if you cross her you'll end up in a ditch. Okay so not really, but she's not the type to forgive anyone for anything. There's a very small window for forgiveness but most people miss it anyway. She will demonize you until her life ends, and you will forever be her enemy. Fearful Attica is afraid of everything. Just about everything, seriously. She hates cars and people, and barely leaves her room. She might be a little mental but she's paranoid and thinks everyone is trying to hurt her. There's not much that can influence her to think otherwise, and most people just learn to accept it. This goes hand in hand with her being incredibly suspicious of everything around her. DISLIKES People The common plebs are gross. Not even just the common plebs, turns out everyone is gross and needs to go away. Attica just likes to be left alone, and she finds people all around distracting and annoying. There's very few people she can tolerate, and can often throw herself into a tizzy when too upset. Loud noises Her family is a rather quiet one, having a sibling who uses only sign language and refuses to speak. Generally, the family dislikes loud noises because they are unpleasant. Unless it's her own screaming, which she can typically drown out, Attica finds loud noises to be painful to her delicate hearing. Herself She doesn't often believe in her abilities since she does know something is wrong with her, and that fact alone can drive her into a tizzy that lasts for weeks on end followed by rivers of tears and screaming herself hoarse. Her frame of mind is rather fragile and things often need to be in their own place. Preferably with everyone else above her and her as nothing but trash under their feet. She loathes herself, mostly for the mental inability to connect with others as easily as those who don't have this type of disorder, and somewhat wishes she could better herself. Close contact Touching can nearly cause her to have a nervous breakdown. It's simply not something she can really handle. It makes her stupidly nervous. Being called stupid She's really not dumb. Actually, she's pretty damn smart. Due to her illness, a lot of people think she's dumb because of how she acts. |
HISTORY Attica was born, and promptly dropped on the hospital floor. One of the nurses hadn't been holding her as securely as she should have, and the loud wailing that resulted at least comforted the doctor knowing she had a great set of pipes. Unfortunately, due to a hole in her heart the mother died shortly after, with a sneer and a feral hiss that reeks of mental instability. Her father, Matthew Tulunbrose of Tulunbrose Med Inc, held her close as though she were the sun itself. He and his partner Zander, who co-owned the famous company, had used a surrogate to grant them another child, and she was a handful. Though she was spoiled she was spoiled right, with books and activities inclined to help her grow mentally. However, her mood disorder got in the way. She became feral for a few years, snapping her teeth at strangers and wailing when not held by either of her fathers. Her brother Markus, upon request, sought to end the ever bearing loneliness that had settled over the tiny angel's life. It was quiet after that, and the family settled into peace. Markus and Attica were inseparable, he protected her against anything and everything, and she was a compliant if not doe eyed princess waiting to be rescued.Up until their cousins Harley and Quinn visited. The twins were rambunctious and polar opposites. Quinn spoke enough for the both of them, and as a result Haley didn't feel the need to waste energy talking. They took over the family's garage and with deep interest Attica slowly became aware of how machinery worked around her. She helped build her first engine at 4 and had a specially designed safety bike that would allow her to zip around the street at 6. The twins worked in a shop, took the children to the shop, and grinned as they fell in love with machinery over medicine. Matthew shook his head, but as long as his children were happy, he would allow their interests to take them to the moon and back. Quinn taught her how to hold a spray paint can at 6, and her first mural was finished 3 years later. A strangely somber yet calming depiction of storm clouds over a roiling sea, with a siren as an only beacon. Despite her clear intelligence and ability to communicate with those she was close with, she was often transferred to the speciality classes in schools. Hating how this marked her as a disabled child she voiced her concerns to her parents, by throwing a tantrum on the kitchen floor and screaming, and was quickly pulled from public school and rather homeschooled to keep her in a more controlled setting. Without so many distractions, and teachers telling her she wasn't capable of doing things, her test scores ran off the charts. She beamed when her fathers proclaimed how proud they were, though slightly nervous tension ran through the house. Her interest in engineering developed far enough where she managed to design several new types of machinery that would help the medical world with her father, though her parents attempted to keep her name out of the public eye as much as possible. Of course, the older she got the more her parents began searching just about every inch of her skin for her "true name." Ironically, they were not a unit but were more than well aware they had the dormant genes which produced such things, and were concerned for their daughter. Eventually they seemed to give up, and Attica faded back into comfortable home life as more siblings seemed to pop into her life. She was sent to the academy for a higher education, and somehow the school found out she was a blank. Despite trying to educate her, Attica has just about no interest in being a sacrifice and has far more interest in screaming out her lungs. |
OTHER She owns a rather large Norwegian Forest Cat that acts as a service animal to help with her more drastic breakdowns. The cat is trained to keep her grounded in reality by loudly meowing, and can actively run off to find help if she has a bad attack that renders her incapable of physical movement. The cat is large, male, and named Odin. |
