Handbook
Dress Code
All students are required to wear a uniform during school hours. During trips into Curton, or after classes, students may dress in any clothing, so long as all shorts, skirts, and dresses are at least finger tip length, and no undergarments can be seen.
Only one set of earrings may be worn during school hours. No other jewelry may be worn with the uniform. Heavy makeup cannot be worn during school hours.
Uniforms may be purchased on campus from the school store, or may be purchased from outside sources for a cheaper price. All students attending by scholarship are provided three pieces of each applicable article of clothing from the school.

Blackwood Policy
Any student found breaking school policy is subject to detention, suspension, or expulsion depending on the severity of the offense.
- drugs, cigarettes, and alcohol are not permitted on campus and may not be used by students attending blackwood Academy.
- Weapons are not allowed on campus. This includes but is not limited to fire arms, explosives, pepper spray, and swiss army knives.
- Cheating is not tolerated. Anyone found cheating or allowing another student to cheat will have their grade changed to a zero for the assignment.
- PLAGIARISM will result in the grade being changed to a zero upon first offense, suspension upon the second, and expulsion upon the third.
- Violence and threats not permitted on campus.
- Sexual harassment will be reported to proper authorities and is not permitted under any circumstance.
- Any electronics not provided by the school are not allowed to be used during school hours and will be confiscated if seen.
- Students must be in their dormitory buildings by 9:30Pm and within their rooms by 10:30PM Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday, students must be within their dormitory buildings by 10:30PM and within their rooms by 11:00pm.
Student Life
Maddison is a female only dormitory that is four stories high and contains fourteen double rooms on each floor, holding 100 students total. Each room contains two twin beds, two dressers, two desks, two chairs, and a small bathroom.
Adams IS A MALE ONLY DORMITORY THAT IS FOUR STORIES HIGH AND CONTAINS FOURTEEN DOUBLE ROOMS ON EACH FLOOR, HOLDING 100 STUDENTS TOTAL. EACH ROOM CONTAINS TWO twin BEDS, TWO DRESSERS, TWO DESKS, TWO CHAIRS, and a small bathroom.
Maddison & Adams are connected in the middle by a large lounge on the first floor. This lounge is the entry point into both dorms and contains four large couches, two love seats, two large televisions, seven coffee tables, five bean bag chairs, a large lovesac, and a small kitchen.
Lexington is a four story, co-ed dormitory specifically for sacrifices. Each floor alternates between being male-only and female-only. Each floor contains fourteen double rooms, allowing for 50 male and 50 female students. Each room contains two twin beds, two dressers, two desks, two chairs, and a small bathroom.
Massey IS A FOUR STORY, CO-ED DORMITORY SPECIFICALLY FOR fighters. EACH FLOOR ALTERNATES BETWEEN BEING MALE-ONLY AND FEMALE-ONLY. EACH FLOOR CONTAINS FOURTEEN DOUBLE ROOMS, ALLOWING FOR 50 MALE AND 50 FEMALE STUDENTS. EACH ROOM CONTAINS TWO TWIN BEDS, TWO DRESSERS, TWO DESKS, TWO CHAIRS, and a small bathroom.
Lexington & Massey ARE CONNECTED IN THE MIDDLE BY A LARGE LOUNGE ON THE FIRST FLOOR. THIS LOUNGE IS THE ENTRY POINT INTO BOTH DORMS AND CONTAINS FOUR LARGE COUCHES, TWO LOVE SEATS, TWO TELEVISIONS, SEVEN COFFEE TABLES, FIVE BEAN BAG CHAIRS, A LARGE LOVESAC, AND A SMALL KITCHEN.
All dorms are locked by a swipe card. As a result, anyone who should not be within a particular building cannot get inside unless allowed by someone who lives there. On top of that, each individual room is protected by a traditional key. A lost swipe card costs $20 to replace and a lost dorm key costs $15. The entrance to the dorm buildings will beep if left open for more than 30 seconds.
All dormitory buildings are set up with cable and wifi for the students and faculty to use.
Students may bring one television, one microwave, and one mini-fridge. Other appliances must be checked in by the office and approved before being allowed into the dorms. Any non-approved appliances will be confiscated if found.
non-service Animals are not permitted on Blackwood Academy's property and may not be kept within the dorms.
All residential issues (lock-outs, roommate disputes, MAINTENANCE requests, etc) should be directed to an on-duty community ADVISER (CA).

Monday through Friday:
- breakfast starts at 5:00am and ends at 7:45am.
- Lunch is offered from 11:00am until 2:00pm.
- Dinner begins at 4:00pm and ends at 8:00pm
Saturday and Sunday:
- Breakfast starts at 7:30am and ends at 10:30pm.
- Lunch begins at 11:00am and ends at 2:30pm.
- Dinner is offered from 4:30pm until 9:00pm.
Visitor Schedule
