PERSONALITY |
POSITIVE Outgoing Kenzie knows few fears socially and is well practiced in speech. Often a social butterfly, it's a rare day when Mackenzie is quiet for more than a few minutes at a time. However, her quick speech and loud voice can get on the nerves of more quiet people, even if she is merely trying to be friendly. Empathetic Often times tuned into peoples' emotions, Kenzie has an easy time understanding the emotional troubles of others. While this can be used in order to help comfort those closest to her, it has also been used to step all over the insecurities of others and ruin the lives of anyone she feels threatened by. Intelligent Mackenzie in no way follows the awful stereotype that all cheerleaders are ditzy. While energetic and often struggling to stay on one topic at a time- something that can make her seem a bit dense in certain moments- Mac is a straight A student and picks up on difficult concepts rather quickly. On top of that, her strategies on the battlefield often times reflect her intelligence. Energetic Jumpy and constantly moving, Kenzie can be a handful for anyone not quite used to her often overwhelming energy levels. It can be incredibly difficult to keep her still, and she's often multi-tasking on so many projects at once that it can be difficult to keep up with her thought patterns. Along with that, it can occasionally be hard to understand her in conversation, with her speaking about several different things all at once, with all of her words and sentences trailing together in her hurried speech. Strong Work Ethic Though it can be difficult to see at times, particularly with all the incomplete projects Mac has on her list at any given moment, Mackenzie works harder than most people can imagine. With her brain in seven different places at once, she's constantly pushing forward and planning different ways to tackle all of her projects at once, switching between them as she figures out a solution for her various problems. LIKES Bright Colors When not in uniform, Mackenzie is constantly rocking vibrant outfits and shows an extreme preference for colors that pop. Hot Chocolate Though not big on plain chocolate, Mackenzie adores drinking hot chocolate, and often will in place of coffee. Baggy Sweaters Though most articles of clothing are baggy on her dainty body, Mackenzie tends to take 'baggy clothing' to a whole new level when given free reign, often opting for sweaters she seems to be lost in. Early Mornings A morning person for sure, Mac will willingly watch the sun rise every morning and has absolutely no issues with waking up before her alarm goes off. However, on the flip side, late nights out tend to kill her and she often times is asleep before midnight. Cold Weather With a love of large sweaters comes a love of cold weather that she can wear them in. Besides, with cheer competitions through fall along with games, the coming of cold weather means the coming of her favorite activity. Exercise Though minuscule in height and in weight compared to most people, Mackenzie is in no way weak. The girl is constantly working out and keeping herself in tip-top shape, both in order to make her something of a match on the battlefield- so she isn't blown off her feet at the first hit- and in order to keep herself fit for cheering. Recognition Mackenzie is more than a bit of an attention whore. She craves the spotlight and is constantly mourning the moments she isn't being watching and applauded. For this reason, it isn't uncommon for her to become incredibly needy around her friends, or for her to create drama just so she's given her daily dose of limelight. Being In Control Due to being so small and jittery- two things that often result in her being underestimated and dismissed- Mackenzie craves power and adores having control over any and all situations. For this reason, she can become incredibly manipulative at times, just to feel the power. Cats Small, warm, furry lap-animals are right up her alley. And cats that don't want to snuggle? Well, it isn't a democracy. Mackenzie'll cuddle with them against their will if she has to. Peppermint Flavor There's just something about peppermint that really pleases Mackenzie. However, she finds spearmint to be distasteful and refuses to eat it, something that tends to confuse people. | NEGATIVE Petty Spiteful and cruel over small things, it can be difficult to get along with Mackenzie when she gets into her moods. Often times, it can be difficult to tell the difference between what she truly has issues with and what she's saying she has a problem with for attention. Vain Constantly in a state of primping herself, and often feeling very confident in her looks, Mackenzie feels she has the most style and flare in this whole town and isn't afraid to voice her thoughts on the matter. Due to her materialistic nature and how obsessed over her appearance she is, compliments are an easy way to get on her good side. Even so, in the back of her mind, Mackenzie is constantly comparing herself to others and can easily find herself to be inferior if left to her own devices for too long. Clingy For anyone Mackenzie attaches herself to, it can be hard to get away. Anyone she's clung to has a friend for life, and her loyal nature leaves her incredibly prone to being hurt and used by the wrong people. On top of that, it tends to leave her getting on the nerves of the people she adores, due to the fact that they can have trouble peeling her off of them in order to get her out of their personal space bubble. Territorial People, objects, spaces she frequents, Mackenzie has claimed them as her's, and anyone that could possibly be a threat to that will be taken down without a second thought or any remorse whatsoever. Difficult to reason with in her fits of greed, and having trouble sharing with anyone outside of her circle, Mackenzie often seems childlike when showing her irrationally territorial side. Jealous Constantly lusting after things that she can't have, Kenzie's greatest sin is that of greed. She wants everything always, from people to expensive possessions to anything she sees that someone else has. Extremely materialistic in nature and prone to hoarding anything and everything she can get her hands on, the issues start when she sees something she can't have. Similarly to a child, Mackenzie is prone to lashing out in angry when she can't have something, even if she doesn't really want something. DISLIKES Big Dogs Being so small in stature, and having been bitten by a dog earlier in her life, Mackenzie is incredibly intimidated by large dogs. However, once she gets to know them, she can learn to love them. Bugs All of the creepy crawlies are quick to send Mackenzie into a panic. She can't kill them, and instead often times depends on those around her to remove them from her presence or to squash them for her. Heavy Storms Extremely loud storms leave the tiny girl incredibly upset, and when the power goes out because of them? Expect Kenzie to panic. Being Underestimated Anyone caught underestimating Mac is instantly put on her shit list. Being intelligent, athletic, and constantly dismissed for both her diminutive stature and sport of choice, Mackenzie often finds herself trying to prove to people that she's just as capable as everyone else, if not more so, in everything she does. Being Called Short She's very aware of her height and hates having to look up at almost everyone. Needing help reaching things is just adding insult to injury. Anyone looking for a sore spot to poke, Kenzie's height is a very easy one to find and exploit. Being Ignored Mackenzie thrives on attention and honestly isn't sure what to do with herself when it's not being given to her. As a result, she tends to get herself and others into a lot of trouble when left to her own devices for too long. Laziness Being such a hard worker, Mackenzie simply can't stand it when others aren't as motivated as she is. People Touching Her Possessions Playing into her mix of clingy jealousy and territorial-ness, Mackenzie can't stand when people touch anything that's her's, human or object. And if you don't ask first? Prepare to have your hands lopped off by the tiny spitfire without question. Bulky Clothing While extremely into baggy clothing, Mackenzie can't stand heavy, stiff clothing that is hard to move around in. Tight Spaces Kenzie can't help but feel incredible amounts of anxiety when she feels tied down or trapped. Small spaces are just too much for her to deal with, and often times cause her to lose her cool. Mac needs wide open spaces and an ability to roam or anxiety tends to creep up on her. |
HISTORY Born to a lawyer for a mother and a stay at home father who tended to be the one around to care for her, Kenzie was born into an upper-middle class home with more than enough to go around. While the extended family weren't close to her family, in all honesty, that never seemed to be a problem to the girl. She was cared for enough. Her father was always there when she needed someone, and her mother was home enough- even if consistently stressed- to provide enough of a family to suit her needs. The large, noisy, extended family get-together never seemed to be something she needed. Of course, the lack of exposure to such a thing could easily account for that. Regardless of Mackenzie's family life and lack of familial connections outside of her mother and father, she grew up a rather normal, happy child, if a bit spoiled in her only-child status. The spunky little girl found little to no interest in sharing with others and often vied for their toys, finding herself to have rather quick hands and a knack for grabbing things before anyone could notice or have a chance to react. However, being rather young, it wasn't exactly like she could escape from preschool teachers telling her that snatching things from peoples' hands wasn't polite. While her stealing faded as she aged, her high energy levels, desire for attention, and her greed never seemed to fade. Sharing got easier, but was still distasteful, and the child still had a thing for stashing everything given to her away, hiding it in various, unconventional places throughout her house and school. While noted as odd behavior, it was dismissed as something she'd outgrow in time. After all, there was nothing too terribly odd with a child choosing to hide their things to minimize sharing, and because of her lack of desire to cooperate, fighting. While this minimized as Kenzie aged, it never entirely disappeared, and the tiny girl is still incredibly dragon-like in her tendency to hoard everything, even if it's done in more tame and socially acceptable ways now, like filling boxes and bins in her dorm with things, and keeping a purse on her to hold an obscene number of useless possessions in. Throughout elementary school, Mackenzie expressed interest in getting into various sports. Starting with soccer and moving to softball, eventually Mac settled into cheerleading in 5th grade, a sport she's stayed with since. While early on, as can be expected from a young child getting into anything, her skills were subpar at best. However, through constant work, her boundless energy, and endless persistence soon had her as an average girl in her squad. Encouraged from her improvement, Kenzie pushed herself even harder, and within a year, she was a competitive member of the team. Though Mackenzie balanced work with school and kept her grades up, as was always expected of her, it became obvious that her life began to revolve around cheerleading. Having stopped growing years, and having always been tiny in stature, the Mackenzie eventually ended up falling into the role of flyer on her team, being the easiest to pick up due to her small size. While this position pleased her- putting the vain child even further into the spotlight-, it also accentuated how small she was, something that Mackenzie found to be incredibly despicable. No longer being at eye level with her friends- or anyone her age, for that matter-, Kenzie found herself struggling to gain respect from those around her. With that, a fiery attitude grew beneath the bubbly surface that the girl held. Underhanded and mean, though not outwardly apparent, the girl slowly aimed to regain control. It didn't take long for her to instill a certain fear in her peers, having clawed her way into popularity and having enough power in social stature to actually be something of a force to be reckoned with. Come time for high school, Mackenzie was accepted into Blackwood Academy for both her exemplary grades, her competitive cheerleading record, and of course, the spare money her parents could afford to pour into tuition. Though ninth grade was particularly hard for the girl, as moving out of state to a place where she held no status was a bit of a shock for someone who'd been so coddled and in a rather controlled environment growing up, she adapted, and Kenzie has spent the past few years pulling herself back into the upper rungs of the social hierarchy of Blackwood. |
OTHER - Mackenzie is extremely fidgety and is almost always moving in some way, shape, or form, whether it be in tapping a pencil or her foot, pacing, or speaking with her hands. - Always carries a purse of some sort that's filled to the brim with various things, ranging from receipts, to candies, to anything else she can jam into it. - Kenzie has both of her ears pierced twice and tends to wear a lot of jewelry whenever she isn't in uniform. - Her team name is over her heart. - Still has her ears and tail. They are blonde, and similar in appearance to a long-furred cat. |
