By the time Kylin had emerged from the bathroom, dressed and ready to go, Cinthos was already gone. Not particularly caring what the sacrifice did so long as it didn't bother himself, the raven opened the window to let in the breeze, sprinkling bird seed on the outer sill to let Bird eat. Normally, he would have headed towards the cafeteria straight afterwards to eat, but this morning, he stayed in his room and watched his pet. He had to think some things over, and it was best he did it before he saw the other half of Cageless again.
At around 6:30, Kylin was outside room 2A of Lexington. As far as he knew, it wasn't early at all; any sane person attending Blackwood would've been up by then or risk missing out on a hot breakfast. Then again, this was Cinthos so... He couldn't really be sure. He almost paced in front of the door, wondering if he should knock, but ended up steeling himself when a couple of girls heading downstairs saw and giggled at him. Damn that Lorne bastard for choosing a room so close to the stairs!
Finally, after another minute spent agonizing over whether or not he should just leave and laze around on the roof, the raven raised a hand to knock. It was only after he finished that he realized he had no idea what to say even if he saw the other teen again. ...Too late. Might as well brace him for what could only be a shitstorm. | 000 WORDS @cinthos MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS & THQ |

Knock-knock. “Ughhh…” There was a rapping at the door. Just when one had managed to fall back into the cradles of slumber – rocking back and forth like a ship at sea, a disturbance interrupted.
Surely, this was worth a show of fake cries and dry tears. But he didn’t.
Just as dopily as before (cocooned by a mess of blankets, bare legs sticking out one end), he sluggishly dragged his barren feet against the floor and opened the door up.
He stared. Eyes blinked. Yawn released.
Another look confirmed that it was Kylin, which provoked a curt huff. “It’s 6:30”–pause– “never mind, come in…” Turning around (leaving the door open), Cinthos dropped the blankets onto his bed and went about dressing. He had already showered upon returning. Whilst slipping into some slacks, Cinth asked: “are we going to the cafeteria?” And then he fastened his clasps.
Kylin Wu: We'll work something out. We can even move on to another thread if you'd like. ♡

"I'd rather wait outside," Kylin replied, leaning against the wall out in the hall. He left the door open a crack, however, in case the Sacrifice said something that needed his attention. Despite the peace the morning quiet offered, the raven crossed his arms over his chest and closed his eyes distractedly, trying to sort through his thoughts.
He couldn't find the words to say. But then, words had never been necessary before. He'd simply been introduced to another Fighter or Sacrifice, and then he and his partner would go through the routine of getting to know each other. It was just that, a routine. Both of them knew what to say and what to do and once the process was over, they didn't need to think about it any longer.
"Are we going to the cafeteria?"
Were they? Kylin didn't know. He wasn't planning on having breakfast, and he'd already grabbed a snack to maybe nibble on later. Cinthos wasn't part of the life he'd lived before coming to Blackwood Academy, things weren't going to be as simple as going through the steps of a useless mating—at least, that's what they had all jokingly called it back then, because it'd held a grain of truth—ritual.
Instead of responding, the Fighter simply turned to leave, footsteps quiet as he quickly descended the stairs and exited the building. Bird joined him the instant he was outside, settling comfortably into hair. He didn't know what to say yet. He didn't want to know more about that Sacrifice yet.
But from that day onwards, he established his own sort of routine, and appeared knocking on the door of Lexington's room 2A at 6:30 every morning, an alarm that couldn't be turned off. Then he'd quietly disappear to class or wherever his feet took him. It was his way of trying to step closer to the boundary line. | 000 WORDS @cinthos MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS & THQ |
NOTES: why would he shower and then go back to sleep? all wet and stuff ugh. i feel like the end crossed into angst territory again, but would it be okay to end here? (you can post a response if you want..) it kind of gives me closure, while staying IC.
